Distech ECB/ECL Series Controllers – Wiring Best Practices

Distech ECB/ECL Series Controllers – Wiring Best Practices

Product(s) Affected:

ECB Series Controllers (200, 300, 400, 600 Series)
ECL Series Controllers (200, 300, 400, 600 Series)

Summary:

If the controllers were wired while whole and excessive torque was used, the terminal block tray can shift left and right causing the pin which is fixed and very solid to the face of the controller, to push on the left and right leads in the terminal strip.  In effect this widens the gap, causing feathered connections.

More Information:

See the attached Application Note "MISC020 - ECB-ECL Series Terminal Connectors.pdf" below for more information and details.  Pass this along to your installers / electricians who do your wiring to make sure you don't continue to have problems.
