Overview
The Net/X Serial driver from Activelogix enables the seamless integration of the Niagara AX Framework with a collection of one or more Thermostats manufactured by Network Thermostat (http://www.networkthermostat.com/). This integration enables the ability to adjust thermostat settings remotely through the Niagara building control system network for such things as calendar based occupancy states or any other custom control strategy.
Prerequisites
Before installing and commissioning the Niagara Net/X Serial Driver, the Net/X system is required to have first been installed and proven to be operational with the Net/X Command Center software (including connectivity using the internal or external IP address(es). Failure to do so may cause unnecessary troubleshooting. The Net/X Serial driver requires Niagara Stations (JACEs) at release 3.2 or later.

Licensing
The Net/X Serial driver requires a license file from Activelogix. The license file will specify the number of devices (thermostats) authorized. A maximum of 32 devices can be discovered/configured per Net/X controller. Multiple Net/X controllers may exist for large networks. In the case of multiple controllers, the user can add additional instances of the Net/X driver in the station configuration. The license supplied with the driver will determine the total licensed devices on the network, regardless of the number of configured Net/X controllers. Example: With device limit set to 12 and thirteen devices discovered, the thirteenth device's status is set to "fault" and the fault cause will read "Exceeded device.limit of 12." The thirteenth device's entry in the device manager will be highlighted in yellow.
*To install the license file:*
