Periscope is licensed by the number of sites being used in your installation (minimum of 10).  A "site" according to Project Haystack is:

site entity models a single facility using the site tag. A good rule of thumb is to model any building with its own street address as its own site. For example a campus is better modeled with each building as a site, versus treating the entire campus as one site.

Before using Periscope the user must choose which sites in the database are available to Periscope, each of which will consume one "site" in the license.  To do this, navigate to Periscope in the browser and go to Settings (gear at the top right of the page).  This will take you to the About settings page:

Then click on the "Choose Sites" button to select which sites are usable by Periscope.  


Note

Periscope will only work with points and trends that are associated with a selected site.
