Licensing
Sites and Features
Periscope is licensed by the number of points being used in your installation, all features are included, previous versions of Periscope had optional licensed features. A "site" according to Project Haystack is:
A site entity models a single facility using the site tag. A good rule of thumb is to model any building with its own street address as its own site. For example a campus is better modeled with each building as a site, versus treating the entire campus as one site.
However, with the points model, this can be restrictive, depending on the system. A site in Periscope can any logical grouping for a particular area, ie. floors, this allows for aggregating data for each level of a building. A breakdown of Periscope software features is listed below.
Point Relations
Points and trends must be associated with a tagged site in order to work in Periscope. See our documentation on relations tagging for more information.
